Microscopy Facilities
Light Microscopy Facilities
Light microscopy core facilities and labs host a variety of capital instruments such as Confocals, Multiphoton microscopy systems, TIRF systems, Wide field Microscopy instruments, Stero microscopes, etc. New users are usually trained by the administrators and afterward users can use the Scheduler module to schedule use for an instrument. Using the Actual Usage TrackerTM module, the accurate usage time can be calculated and the user’s lab will be charged accordingly.
Electron Microscopy Facility
In EM facilities and labs either the users are trained to use the system similar to light microscopy facilities and the users then schedule a time to use the instrument or the users ship their samples and fill out a work order / sample order form online and then the administrators / technicians run the samples for the users using the EM systems. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through email as an attachment.

Genomics Facility
Genomics core facilities are involved in core sequencing and genotyping. Sequencing services include Sanger sequencing as well as Next Generation DNA Sequencing. Genotyping services include capillary fragment analyses, SNP genotyping (BeadXpress, Open Array, and high resolution melt curves via real time PCR). Using the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module, users can submit their work orders and either ship or carry the samples to the core facilities. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through email as an attachment.

DNA Sequencing Facility
DNA sequencing facilities do a variety of sequencing work for their users such as Full run sequencing, Fragment analysis, cDNA services and Next Gen Sequencing. Users submit an online form for a specific sequencing work and then they ship the actual samples. The staffs in the facility / lab then run the samples on sequencers and upload the results to a local server or send the data through email as an attachment.

Histology
The histology core facilities usually help in routine histology processes such as sectioning of tissues and commonly performed staining’s. Users can submit their work orders using the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module and ship or carry the actual samples to the core facilities. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through an email attachment. In some places, the facility might rent out the equipment on an hourly basis. The administrators in these core facilities usually train new users for instrument usage; once trained the users can schedule instruments using the Scheduler module.

High Content Screening Core Facilities
High content screening core facilities helps in analyzing whole cells or components of cells with simultaneous readout of several parameters. It also identifies substances such as small molecules, peptides, or RNAi that alter the phenotype of a cell in a desired manner. Users may submit a word order using the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module and ship or carry the actual samples to the core facilities. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through email as an attachment.

In-Vivo Imaging Facility
In-Vivo Imaging Facility (IVIF) help in both clinical and preclinical resources, including simultaneous MR/PET, ultra high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT), optical (bioluminescence and fluorescence) and ultrasound small animal imaging. Typically the facility admin w can reserve the instrument using the Scheduler module. Using the Actual Usage Tracker module, the accurate usage time can be calculated and the user’s lab will be charged accordingly.

Bio-Assay Facility
Bioassay core facilities are typically involved in conducting tests to measure the effects of a substance on a living organism. It helps in determination of the concentration of a particular analyte in a mixture. Typically, the facility administrator will train the users initially and will then charge the users for subsequent usage. Users can reserve the equipment using the Scheduler module. Using the Actual Usage Tracker module, the accurate usage time can be calculated and the user’s lab will be charged accordingly.

Bioresources Facilities
Bioresource core facilities serves as a centralized distributor and repository providing the network with common stocks cell lines, reagents, stains and related standard operating protocols. Users may use the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders.

Computational Facility
The Computation Core Facility help to perform complex analysis that require high-performance computing infrastructure and a broad set of embedded, maintained, and ready-to-use national/international databases; If the computing infrastructures are rented to the users, then the users may use the Scheduler module to reserve the machines. If the computers are operated by the facility staff, then the users may use the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders.

Metabolomics Facilities
The Metabolomics core facilities are designed for quantitative analysis of small molecule metabolites in blood or body fluids to. Users may use the Work Order™/ Sample Submission/ Service Request Module to submit work orders. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through email as an attachment.

Cells and Tissues Facilities
Cell/Tissue culture core facilities serve as a centralized distributor and repository providing the network with common stocks cell lines, reagents, stains and related standard operating protocols. They also provide the necessary training in cell and tissue culture techniques for which the trainees may be charged. Users may use the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders.

Structural Biology
Structural Biology core facilities help with research programs that involve studying the relationship between macromolecular structure and function using techniques such as X-ray crystallography, NMR Spectroscopy and molecular modeling. Typically, after initial training, the core facilities might charge the users for subsequent usage. Users may use the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through email as an attachment.

Drug Development Facilities
The Drug Development and Drug Discovery core facilities develop high-throughput screening methods to rapidly assess tens of thousands of compounds. The evaluation of several features more efficiently identifies compounds with potential to be effective new pharmaceuticals. The facility admin will typically establish service fees for the different consultation services. Users may request a service using the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders

Pathology
The Pathology Core is a comprehensive facility for research involving biological tissues. The resource provides professional expertise in pathology, and tissue-based experimentation. Users may use the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through email as an attachment.

Monoclonal Antibody Facility
Monoclonal Antibody core facilities helps in the production of monoclonal antibodies, q antibodies from hybridoma supernatant, screening of antibodies and conjugation of monoclonal antibodies. Users may use the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders. If the samples are run by the facility staff then the results will be uploaded to a local server or sent through email as an attachment

Clinical Services and Trials
Clinical Services and Trials core facilities provide services to assist in initiating and conducting clinical trials. It facilitates approval of clinical trial agreements by appropriate hospital and university department; create protocols for different phases of the trial, clinical assessment and follow-up, real time specimen preparation and monitoring, data management services, including verification of patient eligibility, completion of case report forms, and completion of flow sheets and forms. Facility administrators may establish different levels of consultations and their service fees. Users may use the Work Order™/Sample Submission/Service Request Module to submit work orders.
